In Europe, houses and castles, which are associated with mystical stories, are always popular among tourists. Ghosts, supposedly living in ancient palaces, are becoming a brand for which lovers of the unknown are ready to shell out round sums. However, in Russia there are no fewer places where, according to the legends, you can meet ghosts. There is no doubt that fans of the otherworldly will receive chilling impressions in these estates.
Filippov's estate in the village of Sportbaza, Moscow region
The estate was built by Dmitry Filippov, the son of a Moscow baker. The secluded site for the construction was not chosen by chance. In his own estate, Dmitry wanted to hide his beloved, the gypsy Aza. He fell in love with her at first sight, barely seeing her in the gypsy choir. He built this amazingly romantic mansion for her.
However, soon the windy baker found consolation in the arms of another beauty, and the proud gypsy, not enduring the shame, went up to the observation deck of the estate and rushed down. Since then, her ghost has invariably wandered in these places.
After the revolution, the estate was in disrepair, in the 1950s it housed a sports base, and then a medical center. Athletes and patients of the medical center noticed the ghostly silhouette of a long-haired girl in a wide gypsy skirt.
Today the estate is in desolation, only mystic lovers wander here, hoping to meet Azu in the deserted halls. The building is gradually collapsing, you cannot get here with an organized excursion group, but lone travelers can admire the once luxurious building.
Taldykin's estate in Yeletsky district, Lipetsk region
In a picturesque place on the banks of the Vorgol River, among the steep cliffs, the merchant Taldykin erected his mansion in 1868. In addition to the beautiful house, there were many outbuildings, its own mill, a small embankment. Despite the fact that the estate was significantly damaged during the Great Patriotic War, the main house is still in good condition.
The Taldykins were widely known for their kind-hearted attitude towards people and their willingness to help those in need. They donated a lot to charity, and everyone who turned to them with their misfortune could count on the participation of a merchant family. But their wealth did not give rest to a distant relative. He killed the spouses in the hope of obtaining an inheritance.
After the funeral, many nearby residents began to notice that wounds were healed at the Taldykins' grave, and ailments were healed. But in 1931, representatives of the Soviet government decided to fight prejudices, the Taldykins' grave was desecrated. Local residents wanted to reburial the bodies of the spouses, however, according to legend, suddenly a void formed under the coffins in a new place, absorbing the bodies of benefactors. And in the district in different places after that, gaps and caves began to appear.
The restless souls of the spouses found refuge in their own estate. After the war, a rest house was built there, but it was soon closed. Locals say that the spirit of the spouses will allow only those who come with a pure heart and restore their once beautiful home into the mansion.
Palace of the Oldenburgskys, village Ramon, Voronezh region
Legend has it that the princess of Oldenburg, the mistress of a beautiful palace in the village of Ramon, rejected the courtship of some powerful sorcerer. In retaliation, he cursed the palace and everyone living in it. After that, strange things began to happen in the estate, and the son of the Oldenburg spouses, Peter, got carried away with the search for the ancient Egyptian civilization. They said that in the dark palace basements, he put on some strange experiments on people.
Today, the palace houses a museum, the real owners of which are the three ghosts living there. When the plaster collapsed in the basement, it turned out that the outlines of the damage exactly correspond to the silhouette of the unapproachable mistress of the palace.
The Vasilievskoye estate in the Smolensk region
This estate belonged to the Povalishin landowners who were members of the Masonic lodge. The entire estate was built using the symbols and secret signs of the Freemasons. During the construction of Povalishyna, a secret message was encrypted in the planning of the estate and in each building, which has not yet been solved.
Local residents try to bypass the estate. In their words, as soon as the traveler crosses the border of the estate, he begins to feel weakness, malaise, bouts of nausea. Perhaps the ghosts of the owners await only the followers of the ideas of free masons.
The Kokovtsevs' estate in Yaroslavl
The former count's estate was nationalized after the revolution. Here the regiment was quartered, then communal apartments were arranged, then a club with a disco was located. Locals claim that the spirit of the Count's daughter lives in the estate, which today stands empty.
She committed suicide because of unhappy love, and now the girl's soul wanders restlessly around the estate and asks for sweets from the counter. Due to the fact that several young people drowned in the pond located on the territory of the estate at different times, they began to say that the count's daughter was luring them to the bottom. So she takes revenge on men for her unrequited love.
The famous House of Writers in Moscow, which is located at 17 Lavrushinsky Lane, opposite the Tretyakov Gallery. It was built 80 years ago on the personal order of Stalin. Its tenants were representatives of the literary elite, members of the Union of Writers of the USSR, among whom were A. Barto, I. Ilf, E. Petrov, K. Paustovsky, M. Prishvin, V. Kaverin, Yu. Olesha, V. Kataev, B. Pasternak … Serious battles were going on for apartments, not everyone managed to get a residence permit here.
