Today Julia Vysotskaya needs no introduction - a successful actress, TV presenter and culinary specialist has long proven her creative competence. She was able to realize herself not only as an artist, but also as a mother and wife. Her marriage to Andrei Konchalovsky, in the seriousness and duration of which at first no one believed, has been going on for more than 20 years. It would seem that in her 47 years she achieved everything that could only be dreamed of. However, in a recent interview, Vysotskaya admitted: she does not know what it means to be a happy woman. Why she became one of the most private artists and what topics she prefers to keep silent about - further in the review.
Her fate has made sharp turns so many times that she has long worked out a rule for herself: do not think for the future and live for today. She had to learn this since childhood. Her parents divorced when she was little. Soon, her mother married a military man, and Julia's childhood passed in constant travel. She changed 7 schools, which becomes a great stress for any child, because she did not have time to make friends, as she had to change her place of residence again.
After leaving school, Vysotskaya entered the acting department at the Belarusian Academy of Arts in Minsk. Then she had another rule: to work as hard and as much as her health allows. She was always very demanding of herself and followed the advice of the head of the course, Lydia Monakova: "". Vysotskaya wanted to work hard and dreamed of acting in Hollywood - and did everything in order to bring her dreams closer.
On television, Yulia Vysotskaya appeared long before the culinary show "Let's Eat at Home" was released - while studying in Belarus, she became the host of one of the most popular TV programs about show business and culture, "Bezdelnik", which she filmed at night, after classes and rehearsals. After graduating from high school, Vysotskaya received an invitation to the troupe of the Belarusian National Academic Theater. Yanka Kupala. But in order to get a job, it was necessary to obtain citizenship, and Julia entered into a fictitious marriage with her friend Anatoly Kot, who later became a famous actor.
Vysotskaya did not hide this fact, but she never talked about real first love. In fact, she then had a romantic relationship with the artist Igor Sidorenko. They stayed together for 6 years, but the young man abused alcohol, which became the reason for their separation. And after 2 years he died in a drunken brawl. Vysotskaya did not come to say goodbye to him - by that time she had already met a person who made her forget about the past. Since then, she preferred not to remember the period of her life before meeting him.
While still a student, Yulia Vysotskaya made her debut in Belarusian cinema, thanks to which, a year after graduation, she got to Kinotavr. 25 years ago, in 1996, fate gave her a meeting that forever divided her life into “before” and “after”: at “Kinotavr” she met Andrei Konchalovsky. At that time, she had no plans to build a serious relationship, much less get married. Then she had one more rule: not to dream and not to think for the future, not to make plans and not come up with strategies. She herself did not expect that their summer romance, which she perceived as an exciting adventure, would develop into true love. A few days after they met, they went on vacation to Turkey, and then went together to London, where the director filmed a film, and Vysotskaya entered the Academy of Music and Art. In 1998, they decided to officially register the marriage.
Konchalovsky was 36 years older than Vysotskaya, for him it was already the 5th marriage, and no one expected that it would be the last for him. Behind the actress's back, everyone whispered that she was pursuing selfish goals and was counting on building a career with the help of her husband. The director really gave her roles in his films, thanks to which she came to a resounding success. But at the same time, Vysotskaya remained the same perfectionist and workaholic and preferred not to rely on luck and her husband's protection alone.
In 1999, the couple had a daughter, Maria, in 2003, a son, Peter. Vysotskaya later called the birth of children the happiest event in her life. When they grew up, more than once they took part in the filming of Yulia Vysotskaya's program "We Eat at Home". From the age of 8, Masha began acting in films, often appeared with her mother at social events and in photographs in glossy publications and on social networks. And in 2013, there was an accident in which 14-year-old Masha received a serious head injury and was put into a drug-induced coma.
Since then, Vysotskaya has had another rule: never flaunt her personal life. After this terrible event, the artist became much more closed. In an interview, she categorically refused to talk about her daughter, and even more so to show her. Masha is still in a coma, and Vysotskaya gives only short and restrained comments about her condition: "".
After this tragedy, the family fenced off from most of their acquaintances, and the artist's circle of communication narrowed to a few close friends. Julia Vysotskaya admits that this made her reconsider her outlook on life - she no longer shares her happiness with everyone, avoids publicity in her private life and prefers not to talk about personal things at all. She regrets that she was too frank before: "".
In recent years, the couple have become much less likely to go out together, which is why there were rumors that a crisis was brewing in their relationship. They themselves did not comment on this fact, and its refutation was their decision to get married in 2019. The family grief did not alienate them from each other, but, on the contrary, rallied them.
Today, the artist admits that work has become a synonym for happiness for her. At the same time, she considers work not only to shoot in films, perform on the theater stage and participate in television programs, but also family relationships, and friendship, and her own appearance. The artist looks great at 47 and believes that this is the result of constant work on herself. She tries to enjoy any everyday little things, and when asked whether she feels happy, she answers: "".
