This Albanian maestro, multiple "record holder" for mosaics Saimir Strati, readers Culturology. Ru already met on the pages of the site. It was he who created a painting of 300,000 screws and a portrait of Leonardo da Vinci from nails, and also laid out images from corks and toothpicks. And the new mosaic, on which the author is working today, probably cost him more than one hundred cups of strong aromatic coffee, since he lays it out out of a million coffee beans … It is known that the coffee painting will depict five people, and each of them is one of the continents of our planet. The art project of Saimir Strati has a very poetic name " One World, One Family, One Coffee"(One World, One Family, One Coffee), and its purpose is to display a sense of unity throughout the world.
This large-scale painting is a truly impressive sight. So, the canvas stretched over 25 square meters, and its weight is at least 140 kg. It is even difficult to imagine how long this amount of coffee would be enough for an average person, but art, as usual, requires sacrifices. And the Albanian maestro Saimir Strati, apparently, has already made his sacrifice.
By the way, most of the work is already ready, since Saimir Strati is in a hurry to finish his painting by mid-December in order to have time to appear again on the pages of the Guinness Book of Records. So far, the giant painting is in Tirana, the capital of the Republic of Albania, where the restless mosaic master Saimir Strati lives and works.
