If a person does something well, excellently, better than others, he does it more willingly. And sometimes he devotes his whole life to this work. So it happened with the Albanian artist-record holder Saimir Strati … He is known for being included in the Guinness Book of Records as the author of the largest painting of nails - about this work, portrait of Leonardo da Vinci, we already wrote on the site once Culturology.rf- and also created a picture of a million toothpicks and another picture of hundreds of thousands of wine corks. And naturally, the artist did not stop there. One of his last works is a mosaic painting "One Homer" of 300,000 screws. The author depicted the portrait of the ancient Greek poet Homer as a banknote. And he did not drive the pixel screws with a hammer, but screwed them into the board-canvas with the most ordinary screwdriver. And thanks to this work, Saimir Strati became the world record holder for large-scale paintings made of non-standard material for the fifth time.
The unusual works of the Albanian author can be found on his personal website. There are also placed his awards for record paintings - all five works of the incomparable Saimir Strati (Saimir Strati).
