Kalashnikov assault rifle in the twentieth century it became a symbol of the armed struggle for its rights, for independence, for resources and other goals, that is, it became a symbol of the war itself. In the twenty-first century, this perception of him in the mass consciousness began to gradually change. And now AK is one of the images used in advocacy for disarmamentpromoting a peaceful solution to issues. As proof of this - the exhibition with the title AKA peacearranged by the artist Bran Symondson.
In the AKA peace exhibition, which is shown during September 2012 at the Institute of Contemporary Art in London, the concepts of "war" and "peace" are closely intertwined. This exposition is dedicated to the Kalashnikov assault rifle, a formidable weapon in service in hundreds of countries around the world. But at the same time, its main idea is the striving for peace, for disarmament.
The creator of this exhibition, British artist Bran Simondson, has collected works by twenty-three major contemporary artists dedicated to the AK-47. Someone already had such works, and someone specially created them at the request of the curator of AKA peace.
Bran Simondzon himself says that the idea of creating such an exhibition came to him during a journalistic visit to Afghanistan, when she saw a local soldier, whose submachine gun was decorated with colorful images of roses, white ribbons and other similar elements little related to military affairs.
Upon his return from Afghanistan, Simondzon himself created a similar work, and then decided to put together an entire exhibition dedicated to the use of the Kalashnikov assault rifle in the matter of peaceful disarmament.
In the twentieth century, the Kalashnikov assault rifle became a symbol of war. Now he is turning into an instrument of the world! And the credit for this belongs, among other things, to contemporary artists such as Barn Simondson, Damien Hirst and other participants in the AKA peace exhibition.

Contemporary art from Konstantin Zolotarev. Contemporary Christian art or icon painting style
The icon painting style created for the depiction of saints and Christ is aimed at displaying a different reality. Therefore, in the icon, the portrait resemblance of a saint to a person who actually lived once is not in principle, since it reflects a transformed person who is in the upper world. But after all, the saints once lived on earth, they were like us, they ate and drank and had practically the same problems as modern man
