Do not think that graffiti is just words and different pictures on the walls. Sometimes artists or, as they are also called, writers do not limit themselves to this, preferring to create in an abstract style. And some of the works really arouse serious interest.
We recently talked about a book planned for America. It was created specifically for young graffiti artists, so that they could practice not on the walls themselves, but also in a book, because it just depicts all the "naked" walls of New York - you can read more in this article … But artists Erris Huigens and Gysbert Zijlstra from Amsterdam act in their own way - for example, they paint abstract graffiti. Someone may call them not very interesting, because only some squares, lines, geometric shapes that do not carry much meaning are depicted here.
Nevertheless, the graffiti seems to be really impressive, as soon as we move a little further, they seem to become three-dimensional. Maybe not all the drawings show it as clearly as some, but you cannot fail to notice it. And now the drawings are acquiring some kind of interest for others.
At least, it can be noted that not all works are shown at exhibitions, and this is exactly what is happening at the present time. The works of this duo of artists, who, by the way, received the name "Graphic Surgery", can be seen until May 2 this year at an exhibition at the Extrabold Gallery in Luxembourg.
