The depths of the sea are not a place for humans: just a couple of minutes under water, and her embrace will easily turn into a death grip. But a series of amazing underwater photographs of Marina Kochetova makes you forget about it - the opportunity to live in the sea as in the air, to become reality in her photographs.
Not underwater landscapes with the presence of a person, but the very possibility of being in the water at home is one of the main ideas of this unusual series. Unlike a mermaid, a person cannot forget about the air. Relaxing on the underwater lawn, sleeping in the arms of the sea - this lasts less than a minute, then the serene scene will be interrupted and the "mermaid" will take a deep breath. But the skill of the photographer is able to preserve this moment of illusory harmony with the underwater elements. Perhaps such photographs will be in the album of a person who is the first to learn to breathe under water …
Underwater photography requires a special technique, and the participants in the shoot are faced with unusual tasks. It is difficult to be in the water and look like on land. Almost complete weightlessness gives tremendous freedom of movement, the body tries to live according to the laws of the sea, and the face takes on an unusual expression. Many completely natural and familiar poses require special preparation - in the absence of support, any sudden movement will hopelessly knock the composition out of the frame. The vagaries of the weather also contribute. Only the great experience of the photographer and the talent of the models helped in organizing complex scenes (in a similar genre, underwater photographs of Anatoly Beloshchin and the work of Zena Holloway were made).
People usually come to underwater photography with a lot of experience in traditional photography, but Marina did the opposite. And not surprisingly - her hobby for diving pushed her to photography. As she writes on her website, beautiful landscapes and unusual views are too difficult to describe in words, even if they forever remain in the memory.

Returning to stories about the power of inspiration that nature gives to a creative person, one cannot fail to mention the role of the four elements. So the artist Ran Orther, in love with the beauty of the sea and its changeable character, will be an excellent company to the authors already mentioned
