Alla Maslennikova creates amazing things from beads - from simple crafts to precious jewelry and realistic flowers. An incredible sense of beauty can be seen in every work of the Moscow artist. A beautiful idea, perfectly matched material and a combination of different weaving techniques turn this beaded figurine into a stunning piece of art.
The high cost of the material and the laboriousness of the process for many centuries made bead weaving an elite occupation. Now, thanks to accessibility, it is more of a massively widespread hobby, almost entertainment. But when the master has talent, the craft turns into art. The freedom to implement ideas, combined with thoughtfulness and careful execution, allows the artist to create unique masterpieces.
Since childhood, Alla has been drawing and making all kinds of crafts, among which there were beaded figures. But having matured, the girl chose a completely non-creative specialty, enrolling in the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Moscow State University. And yet you can't deceive your nature - after a few years Alla returned to art, and beading became the main hobby and work. Now in her workshop, man-made roses bloom and multi-colored butterflies live.
There is also a jewelry aspect of creativity - combining wicker elements with metal and decorative types of stone, the artist creates magnificent themed jewelry. The focus of the plots is very different, but among the intricately connected beads there is always something animate - be it a turtle, a rabbit, flower petals or even fantastic creatures.
Creating such beautiful things, Alla remembers that it all started with simple figures made of beads. Therefore, on the author's site, she not only demonstrates her work, but also provides information for beginners. Maybe a simple leaf made of green beads will become for someone the beginning of a long journey to beauty (look at the beaded paintings by Amy Clarke Moore and real beaded sculptures by Katie and Thomas Wegman)
