Photo artist from Hungary Zholt Zsigmond long ago became widely known as a wonderful landscape painter. First of all, he is known as the author of stunning photographs depicting the sun, sky, sunset, and landscapes painted by them. But at the same time, he is also the author of a series of photographs dedicated to cities of Hungary … And here, surprisingly, the solar talent of Zsolt Zsigmond turned out to be very useful. The artist showed Hungarian Gothic in its true greatness - in the radiance of daylight - and something happened … however, now you will see for yourself.
29-year-old photographer Zholt Zsigmond lives in the village of Zhedeny, where he is engaged in web design (of course, freelance). He is a great travel lover, but he prefers not exotic countries, but his homeland. Here you don't need to go to the capital for beauty: even the small cities of Hungary with centuries-old beautiful houses and churches are a very colorful and memorable sight.
Hungary in Zsigmond's photo - through and through gothic country. For us, Gothic is something mystical, covered with fog, covered by an impenetrable curtain of clouds with blue veins of lightning. But in reality, this is not fundamental for the Gothic: the essence of the famous architectural style is in moving towards the skywhatever it is. And if under the veil of clouds the Gothic cathedrals make a strong impression, then in the photo of Zsigmond, against the background of the bright sun, they are simply magnificent: you begin to understand the power of the feelings of medieval architects, who with all their souls aspired to the divine light.
Hungary Pictures, made and processed by Zsolt Zsigmond, sometimes seem to be pure computer graphics: how can the sky be so bright and buildings so harmonious? Obviously, it can: after all, all the photos are real, albeit slightly processed and smoothed in graphic editors. But here, of course, much depends on the artist's "magical vision": the recently mentioned photographer Akos Major also Hungarian - and how different his cold world is to the light photographs of Zsigmond! Even when the photographer turns to the interiors of Catholic churches (a separate topic in his series urban photo of Hungary), he makes them literally radiate from within - just like his entire magical Gothic world.
