But fame is a capricious lady: yesterday's pop idols gradually gave up their positions, and new performers came to replace them. But what happened to those whose songs the whole country sang?

Bohdan Titomir

The famous phrase "people hawala" appeared precisely with the light submission of the extravagant singer Bogdan Titomir. But after a few years he returned to his homeland, took the pseudonym Che Guevara and admitted that he had made a choice in favor of a healthy lifestyle. Now the idol of the 90s is engaged in producing and cooperates with the Peretz TV channel.

Sasha Zvereva (Demo group)

Even now the song "Solnyshko", which became the main hit of the group "Demo", does not give up its positions and continues to remain popular among the people. However, at the beginning of the 2000s, the collective ceased to exist, and the soloist Sasha Zvereva after that managed to pursue a solo career, give birth to three children and leave to live in the USA.

Now the singer is better known as an Internet blogger. With subscribers to her Instagram page, she shares her impressions of life in the United States and the secrets of raising children. In February 2020, Zvereva married American Dan Walbran. Moreover, the wedding was broadcast live, and those wishing to watch the celebration had to pay money for it. This summer, Sasha became a mother for the fourth time.

Perhaps the Hands Up! you can safely give the title of the most popular group of the 90s. Simple guys Seryozha Zhukov and Lesha Potekhin managed to achieve such popularity that each of their songs in any album that were released annually became a hit, and not a single youth disco took place without their compositions. But in the early 90s the group broke up: Potekhin decided to go his own way, and Zhukov continued his musical creativity. And, I must say, he still manages to stay afloat, releasing hit songs. In addition, Sergey tours a lot, collecting full houses and performing well-known compositions.

Marina Khlebnikova

"Cup of coffee", "Rains", "My sun, get up!" - hits that ensured Khlebnikova's success. Throughout the 90s, Marina was considered one of the most popular performers, and already in 2002 she received the title of Honored Artist of Russia.

At the beginning of the 2000s, the singer's popularity began to decline, but this does not mean that she gave up music. True, now her work is not so in demand. Marina tried herself as a presenter. Recently, however, the name of the 55-year-old performer most often flashes in the press in connection with external transformations: she is accused of being overly addicted to plastic surgeries and diets.

Vlad Stashevsky

A chance meeting with Yuri Aizenshpis became fateful for Vlad Stashevsky. An experienced producer put a lot of effort into making a star out of an ordinary guy. In the mid-90s, the artist was snapped up, breaking girls' hearts with lyric songs, and in 1996 he was named the singer of the year.

However, at the end of the decade, Vlad unexpectedly decided to interrupt his collaboration with Aizenshpis and record an album on his own. But, alas, the public did not accept Stashevsky as a philosopher. And 10 years later, Stashevsky completely changed his occupation, at the invitation of a relative, starting to work in a waste disposal company. Then the singer admitted that in this business he managed to earn more than in all the years of being on stage. But soon the case was closed, and what the former star is now doing is unknown. True, Vlad periodically performs at concerts in the style of "Disco-90s" and corporate evenings.

Irina Saltykova

It should not be denied that Irina became a star largely due to the fact that she married Viktor Saltykov. But the girl was able to take advantage of her chance and conquer the country with "Gray Eyes". I also tried myself in a movie star, starring in the famous "Brother-2".

But, like many pop idols of the 90s, the popularity of the bright blonde began to wane. Even for the dashing 90s, the Na-na group was too shocking and indecent: the guys from the musical group dressed so frankly and behaved so casually on stage that even the current generation, already not surprised by anything, would be shocked. But it was the 90s, and the artists attracted attention as best they could. However, it is worth noting that the songs of the group under the direction of Bari Alibasov were really hit, and each clip was considered a separate work of art.

You may be surprised, but "Na-na" still exists and continues to perform. True, her popularity is no longer as great as in the 90s, and only Vladimir Politov and Vyacheslav Zherebkin remained from the old line-up.

Larisa Chernikova

In the 90s, there were rumors that Larisa Chernikova was able to build her musical career largely thanks to her husband, a crime boss. So it or not, but after a while her wife was found with a gunshot wound to the head at the grave of her father. And the young widow dedicated the subsequent album to her deceased beloved.

Unfortunately, the singer could not repeat the success of her main hit "Airplane in Love". After losing popularity, Larisa lived in Thailand and the United States, was married to an American for 10 years, but the marriage broke up, became the mother of her son, and was engaged in farming. By the way, Chernikova did not leave music: her last album, "The Law of OM", was released relatively recently - in 2017.

Shura

In the 90s, Shura was a big fan of experiments and surprised the audience with his outfits (remember only his famous image with a hat with earflaps and underwear). However, despite the controversial talent, the singer managed to find his listener.

However, at the beginning of the 2000s, the artist was forced to take a creative break due to health problems: at first he fought with drug addiction, and then with oncology. Shura managed to overcome all the problems, however, when he reappeared in public, even devoted fans did not immediately recognize the king of outrageousness from the 90s in the plump and bald man.

Linda

Even in the dashing 90s, when everyone stood out as best they could, Linda managed to surpass everyone with her eccentricity and image of a girl from another planet. The singer owes much of her success to Max Fadeev. This can be judged at least because after the termination of cooperation with the producer, the career of the performer rolled downhill.

Linda was looking for herself for a long time, moving from frank pop to alternative rock and vice versa, she lived in Greece for several years, then returned to her homeland. The performer did not give up music and still writes songs and gives concerts.

Lena Zosimova

Many were skeptical about Lena's sudden success in the 90s, because her father Boris Zosimov, who was the founder of the MTV channel in Russia, was involved in her promotion. The man managed to promote his daughter's creativity, achieve rotation of her songs on leading music channels, and release two albums. Boris even wanted to invite Michael Jackson to star in one of the performer's videos, but a crisis broke out, and with it the celebrity career began to decline.

A rare girl in the 90s did not go crazy for Andrei Gubin. And the performer himself, who brilliantly burst onto the stage with the song "Tramp Boy", remained one of the main domestic hitmakers for many years.

At the beginning of the 2000s, the singer suddenly disappeared, later explaining that the break was related to health problems. However, he never returned, and his relatives claim that leaving the stage is associated with depression and psychological problems.
