Evgeny and Natalya Doga: the family musical ship of love

They walk the road of love all their lives. Evgeny Doga and his future wife Natalya met by chance, signed three days later, and for almost 55 years now they have been confidently walking hand in hand through life. Even today they cannot imagine themselves without love and without music.

Chance meeting

A graduate of the Moscow Institute in the summer of 1962 stayed with her aunt in Chisinau. And four floors below, in the basement, a student of the conservatory Evgeny Doga lived in a hostel. He left his room late at night to jump on the scooter and ride after a busy day.

Natasha walked past his windows many times, but how could he have noticed a pretty girl when all his attention was directed to completing his homework? But once the stars came together in order for a meeting of two young people to take place. When the future famous composer had already saddled his scooter, he saw a cute girl walking across the yard. And he offered her a ride, not even counting too much on her consent. But unexpectedly, the beauty, without any hesitation, sat in the passenger seat.

Three hours later, they returned to the same courtyard and, going up to the apartment, Natasha resolutely declared to her aunt that Evgeny Doga was her future husband. With this, she surprised not only her relative, but also her potential spouse, because during the time spent together, the conversation about the family did not come up even once. However, he did not even think to protest, feeling in this resolute and courageous girl his kindred spirit.

Four weddings

But Evgeny Doga had certain conditions that he set for his bride. He immediately said that music will always be the main thing in his life. It is she, not love, wife, family. It may have sounded pretty harsh, but very honest. And young Natasha understood that these were not empty words. She felt that there was a genius next to her, his talent should be helped, not opposed. And she agreed. How she agreed to learn Romanian.

Natasha and Zhenya signed in Moscow, where they celebrated their marriage with the wife's parents, and then in the Moscow region with Natalia's grandmother. Then a holiday in Chisinau awaited them at the aunt of Eugene Doga, and then at the mother of the future composer. Seeing off the newlyweds, Natasha's dad also said that her daughter should know her spouse's native language.

As soon as the newlyweds returned to Chisinau, Natasha sat down to books. She studied Romanian from fairy tales published in Romanian, and even from textbooks that she brought from Moscow. When they went on their honeymoon in Moldova, the young wife already spoke passable Romanian. She did not know the spoken language, only literary, which pleasantly surprised and delighted the inhabitants of those places where they had been alone with her husband. She fulfilled two conditions of her husband: she learned the Romanian language and recognized the supremacy of music in their lives. At the same time, for half a century, she has never regretted the choice she made.

We all come from childhood

Evgeny and Natalya Doga sincerely believe that all the most important qualities of a person are laid down in a family. Natalia Pavlovna is grateful for her good upbringing and education to her parents. It was they who instilled in her from childhood a love of books, music, theater. And this prepared her for her future family life.

Evgeny Dmitrievich treats his mother with deep respect and reverence even after her death. Thanks to his mother, who sold a family heirloom: a valuable carpet, he had the opportunity to study and get a profession. As the composer himself says, his mother had music in her eyes.

When the couple had a daughter, Viorica, in 1966, they decided that she should have the same good life program that they themselves had. Together they always chose where it would be better to send their daughter so that she received not just an education, but the necessary baggage of intellectual knowledge, which will help her decide in life, and give the right direction.

Evgeny Dmitrievich sometimes says that he does not know love. But this refers, rather, to the devalued concept of feelings. He calls himself an unimportant family man. However, all his life he strove to create comfortable conditions for the life of his family, not only materially, but also morally.

Their family lives in two houses: one is in Chisinau, the other in Moscow. The composer calls both houses his marina, and his family his permanent team.

He considers divorce a shame and does not understand how a second or third marriage can differ from the first. After all, a family certainly requires an investment of strength: physical, moral, spiritual. And he does not accept betrayal in any form.

For 55 years, Evgeny Dmitrievich and Natalya Pavlovna have not yet learned what jealousy is. Despite the numerous admirers of the great composer, Natalia had no reason for her. The composer believes that everyone on stage should be talented, young and beautiful. All those with whom Evgeny Dmitrievich gives concerts meet these three requirements. But at the same time, all his colleagues enter the maestro's house, Natalya Pavlovna warmly welcomes everyone.

Guardian angel

It is Natalya Pavlovna who is the guardian angel of their family. For so many years together, they have become a single whole, while not limiting each other in anything and not interfering with each other's comfortable life.

Perhaps this is the secret of their long family happiness. No wonder they all call themselves the team and co-authors of the composer: wife, daughter and grandson Dominic. They feel good and comfortable together, they feel not only blood, but also spiritual kinship. Calmly accepting the supremacy of music, they know how to live and enjoy everything that they have.

Evgeny Dmitrievich Doga is not in vain considered one of the most famous romantics. All his music is filled with emotions, feelings, love. After all, he knows that at home he is always supported, understood and expected.

Despite the fact that he is often absent from home, it is Yevgeny Dmitrievich who is the constant head of his friendly family, its patriarch, the captain of the family ship.
