The young hero of the film "August Rush", a brilliant composer, heard music literally in all the sounds surrounding him - be it the rustle of foliage or joyful screams coming from the playground. And the collective of artists Daily tous les jours turned into musical instrument a whole street in Montreal.
A new addition has happened to the list of the most unusual swings in the world! Recently, on the streets of the Quebec city of Montreal, very extraordinary specimens of this type of urban objects appeared - the musical swing 21 balancoires, created by the creative team of the Daily Tous les Jours.
21 balancoires are twenty one swings lined up in a street in downtown Montreal. At the same time, each of the mentioned objects can emit here or another note, depending on the intensity with which people swing back and forth on it.
Together, this large-scale installation produces entire musical compositions, by the way, quite interesting and melodic.
And I must say that the process of playing music on the swing 21 balancoires from Daily Tous les Jours was liked not only by children, but also by adults, even by old people, who, as if kids, rush to swing on this unusual object, laughing and squealing, forgetting about their gray hairs and sores.
The musical installation Daily Tous les Jours was installed in Montreal as part of the 2013 Saint-Etienne International Design Biennale. And the main idea of this art object is an attempt by its authors to teach people to interact with each other to create something beautiful, for example, music.
