Taking a look at the work of a Russian artist named Andrey Repnikov, it seems that this is a set of old postcards from Soyuzpechat. Painfully familiar landscapes, equally familiar situations - everything indicates that the work that Repnikov is not without success is engaged in is folk. But at the same time it is very modern. Repnikov never studied the art of drawing. He, as they say, is a nugget. Draws Russian landscapes and city views, monasteries and palaces, people and streets. However, people fell in love not at all with this series of paintings, but with the one called "Kolbaskin and Others".

Kolbaskin is a collective image of an ordinary Russian person. Naive and simple, kind and compassionate, careless and sloppy, loving to eat and drink, take a walk and relax. In general, the person from the next doorway, whom you meet every day at the entrance to the grocery store around the corner, and greet at the bus stop in the morning.
