"My works are about modern life, in particular about television, world events, celebrities and everyday life" - this is how the British artist Ian Francis describes his work, who, in truth, never had plans to become an artist. But still, if a person is destined to become someone, then he will undoubtedly become one. Less than ten years later, Ian Francis is a successful artist, whose work is widely represented in many famous galleries.
Ian Francis spends a lot of time watching films, reading books, sitting at a computer on the Internet, while saving many photographs of various places that seem interesting to him. Then he looks through them, trying to connect the ideas that have arisen together.
His paintings seem apocalyptic to many, but Ian depicts what he sees around him, what is actually happening. The work of the British artist reveals human nature, its strength, and feelings such as hope, joy, pleasure, despair, fear and passion.
Ian Francis was born in 1979 in Bristol, England and studied illustration. Collective and solo exhibitions of his paintings are held in London, Los Angeles, New York and Sydney.
