Video: Transcending the Material. Knitted skeleton in Ben Cuevas art project

An unusual and somewhat conceptual installation was created by the artist Ben Cuevas for the New York show of the Wassaic Project. A skeleton sitting in a lotus position on a pyramid of cans of condensed milk. Already in itself, this composition seems strange, but that's not all: the skeleton sitting on the banks is not taken from the anatomy office at all. It is completely knitted, from the crown of the head to the smallest bone on the little toe of the left foot. The artist called the installation in a very philosophical way: "Transcending the Material". Making it clear that how many knitted sculptures have been seen by fans of unusual modern art, and the skeleton, for sure, never. Therefore, his Knitted Skeleton will open a new page in the art of knitting.
Of course, in order for the skeleton to keep its intricate shape, the author needed to make a wire frame, and then start creating a "bony" suit. The result is a very high-quality work - take a close look at the photo of this guy's knitted teeth - the work is simply jewelry!
One cannot but admire such a talented person, I think. By the way, he has his own blog on the Internet, where you can see all the works of Ben Cuevas.

Shelter for introverts: What attracts the hotel on the Skeleton Coast - in a place from which it was possible to escape living units
This place seems very gloomy: the part of the coast of Namibia, which extends to the border with Angola, is a desolate desert, in which wrecks of ships and boats meet. People often died here, and it is no coincidence that this natural park was named "Skeleton Coast". However, in our time there are many people who want to visit these lands. Moreover, a hotel has recently appeared here: houses, standing right in the middle of the desert, are stylized as sunken ships
