Dog life - not a thing that is highly regarded in human circles. It's easier for us to complain about her than to imagine the real world of our amazing friends - four-legged, fast, sensitive, intelligent and noble creatures. What is going on in the head of dogs, what abyrvalgi rushing through their imaginations? We may never know, but we can imagine. Soulful black and white photos will help us with this. Denis Buchel a series " Dog life" (Dog`s Life).
Photographer Denis Buchel (1979) is our compatriot, but lives in Bulgaria. His strong point is black and white photography and a portrait. Perhaps, it is the black and white portraits that should be called the works of Denis Buchel " Dog life". On them, each dog has its own facial expression, its own gaze - as you know, the strength of a dog's gaze is in no way inferior to a human one. Caught in funny or unusual poses, the four-legged inhabitants of the city Sofia they look like people (I don't know if this is a praise or a curse).
At first glance, it may seem that the photographer is drawing attention to the problem of stray dogs. But this is not so: stray dogs are the same city dwellers, and their problems are surprisingly similar to ours: accommodation, food (we call it earnings), love. Denis Buchel is not at all interested in the breed of "photo models": most of them are the most common mongrelsthat look as casual and casual as ordinary passers-by. Perhaps, from their lives, dogs become biting - but don't people like to "bark" at each other in transport and on the street?
Dog life Many dozens of photographs by Denis Buchel are dedicated, and some of them are colored. In the skill of the portrait, they are not inferior to black and white; but nevertheless, it is black and white that wonderfully harmonize with dogs, echoing the good old books about four-legged friends: "White Bim - Black Ear", "Dog's Heart" … And they inspire a nostalgic mood - as in the photos of Liverpool of the 70s described by us. The most interesting thing (whether this is a coincidence, or whether the author knew about it) is that dog world truly devoid of colors: in it thousands of shades of grayas in black and white photo.

Black, white and more Creative advertising for Green & Black's chocolate
“Life is like a box of chocolates: you never know what filling you will get” - this phrase from the movie “Forest Gump” has become a catch phrase for a long time. Black and white life in Eddie O'Bryan's photographs
