Domination, submission, humiliation, bondage and similar features of communication between two people are described in detail not only in manuals for those who are fond of the topic of BDSM, but also demonstrated in sculptures of a young Chinese sculptor Hu Ke … His sculptures, each and every one, are dedicated to a young girl with a perfectly shaved skull who knows firsthand what suffering is. In the strange sculptures of Hu Ke, this very girl is tied in a ball, tied to a chair, forced to take outlandish poses, in which it is extremely inconvenient for an ordinary person to be. Unless he has been seriously engaged in gymnastics, yoga or strength exercises for a long time. However, judging by some of the sculptures from this series, the bald girl is still related to sports - at least to the pillow fight.

There is not so much information on the Internet about the author himself, as well as about his works, as we would like. So, Hu Ke was born in the Chinese province of Hunan in 1978, in 2005 he graduated from the sculpture department of the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in Chongqing, but in 2002 he became a participant in a student art exhibition at the Chongqin Art Museum. The last solo exhibition of unusual sculptures by a young and talented author took place in 2009 in Shanghai. Hu Ke is expected to host another, larger exhibition of work before the end of 2011.
