Although French photographer Grégoire Alexandre prefers to work on commission, his work can be called real art. Each photo session of the author is always bright, effective, unexpected. One of his most memorable and famous works is the "Curious Story" series, the decorations for which are made in the form of huge origami.
The Curious Story was created by the author for Arjowiggins, a world leader in the production of environmentally friendly paper. The company was launching a new high-quality product line called the Curious Collection, with Grégoire Alexandre to introduce it to consumers. The idea that came to the photographer's mind is simple and ingenious at the same time: he made huge paper decorations in the form of origami, among which he photographed the model. The result is the story of a girl exploring the mysterious origami world. Creative sculptures in the shape of a unicorn, a tornado or a mysterious forest perfectly demonstrated the limitless possibilities of paper and its ability to take on the most varied and unexpected forms.
Before becoming interested in photography, Grégoire Alexandre was engaged in the art of cinema. However, according to the author, photography does not require as much energy, money and self-confidence as cinema - so he made his choice in favor of photography.
