Those who are at least a little familiar with psychology have probably heard about the theory of the "mirror self", according to which a person's idea of himself includes ideas about the assessments that are given to him by other people. In other words, all the people around us are a mirror, reflecting in which we form an opinion about ourselves. A street performance by a Los Angeles resident is an excellent illustration of this theory.
Mirror Man showed up near the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles late last year. His costume consisted entirely of shards of mirrors, with the exception of small slits for the eyes. The man spent several hours in front of the Observatory, and everyone could see their own reflection in the elements of his attire, along with reflections of green grass, other people and the blue sky.
If we live in a world of mirrors and reflections, can even one fact be accepted without reservations and objections? When each of us in itself is a kind of mirror reflecting the world, what can we see? Perhaps these were the questions the "mirror man" was trying to find answers to. Maybe not. After all, his name remained unknown, as well as his intentions.
"Mirror Man" in Los Angeles met by user of the resource Flickr SiLver sKY, who took pictures of the unusual street performance.

"Anna Karenina" - a mirror of the "immoral" revolution, or How Tolstoy shook the Russian foundations
At school, they tell a lot of different things about Tolstoy's novel Anna Karenina. They do not even ignore the fact that at one time he replaced television series for ladies - he was published in magazines with a sequel (and Tolstoy perfectly understood what he was doing - because of this, he treated his novel with disdain). But what not a single teacher of literature even thought to tell is the fact that "Anna Karenina" actually reflects all the burning issues of the quiet sexual revolution of the late nineteenth century
Uyuni salt flat. The salt of the earth and the mirror of the world
Salt marshes can hardly win a prize in the competition of the most cheerful landscapes: all around is the whistling wind, white salt and baking sun. But if you think saline plains cannot be beautiful, then you are simply underestimating Mother Nature. The colossal Uyuni salt marsh in Bolivia is the largest and most beautiful salt plain on the planet, which is sometimes the "salt of the earth" and sometimes the "mirror of the world"

"Bedroom in Arles" by Vincent Van Gogh is one of the artist's most famous and beloved series of paintings, which are recognized as the most specific. Van Gogh wrote this episode shortly before he was admitted to a mental hospital. But the most interesting thing: how did the artist manage to convey the “great state of peace” through furniture, color and contrasts?
