If you love nature, then Mai McKemy's jewelry will definitely appeal to you. Her rings and pendants are true works of art, where charming forest landscapes are hidden under thin glass. So no matter where on the globe you have to be, with these accessories a small piece of nature will always be with you.
The author of the jewelry claims that he draws inspiration for his work from the nature of his native places (May lives in Asheville, North Carolina). “The mountains provide enough inspiration to create forest-themed decorations,” May says. All her accessories are handmade, and one can only marvel at the skill and patience of the artist, who depicts the natural world in detail: colorful butterflies, bird nests and rare ferns.
Mei uses a variety of materials to create her charming compositions. For example, a bird's nest is made of real wood chips, mushrooms are made of polymer clay, and butterflies are photographs of real insects.
The glass shells for each of Mae McKemy's works are also handcrafted to order. They are made of fairly durable Pyrex glass, so the craftswoman soothes all doubters: it is not so easy to break her accessories. Although, on the other hand, one should not forget about caution either, because it is still glass.
“In my work, I want to capture the intriguing and charming side of nature,” says Mae McKemee. "I create a collection of jewelry that not only has interesting details, but is also funny." Mixing complexity and playfulness, the author creates her accessories for modern women, full of sensuality and charm, but still in touch with nature.

On the wizard's desktop, you can see one of these "closed worlds" that he just mentioned. It is a wooden box with 80 colorful butterflies fluttering inside. "They're actually moths," John clarifies. All of them are made of paper, and before that they were drawn and cut by hand
