Kirill Lavrov, who was born in Leningrad into a theatrical family, never dreamed of becoming an actor. His parents were forced to leave Leningrad when, in the late 1930s, the persecution of the intelligentsia began. Yuri Lavrov, Kirill's father, and his mother Olga Gudim-Levkovich, settled in Kiev, where they began to serve at the Lesia Ukrainka Theater. Later, Yuri Lavrov became a leading actor, and then the artistic director of the theater.

He was less than 16 years old when the war began. And from the very beginning he was eager to go to the front. He was invariably refused. In the evacuation, the future actor worked on a collective farm, after a turner at a factory, in 1943 he was sent to the Astrakhan military aviation school, served as an aviation technician in the Kuril Islands until 1950. It was there that Kirill Yuryevich began to take part in amateur performances.

After his dismissal, he went to his father in Kiev, became an actor of the Lesia Ukrainka Theater. A lively, active, cheerful young man quickly learned theatrical science in practice.

He even courted the rising star Elina Bystritskaya, but the romance ended as quickly as it began, because Valentina appeared in the life of the actor.

A graduate of the Moscow Art Theater School was assigned to Kiev. A beautiful, gentle, very feminine, aspiring actress almost immediately got the opportunity to play lyrical heroines.

The winter of 1952 was very snowy and Kirill Lavrov, being the party organizer of the theatrical cell, organized snow removal from the theater. Everyone came to these public works, except for Valentina. Lavrov summoned the girl for a serious conversation, during which the girl stated that she was an actress and snow removal was not her responsibility. He did not even notice how he began to compliment the beauty sitting in front of him. Mutual sympathy arose.

Soon Kirill Yuryevich had to leave for a couple of weeks. Elina Bystritskaya, who still considered him to be her admirer, came to the station with a bouquet to see him off. And I saw a girl building next to him. Lavrov introduced Valya, and Bystritskaya realized that she had arrived with flowers in vain. Having sent the bouquet to the urn, she proudly left and for a long time did not even want to even see her former boyfriend.

The romance between Valya and Kirill developed rapidly. When the room was vacated in the theater hostel, the lovers quickly declared themselves husband and wife, played a modest wedding and began to live together. They officially registered their relationship only a year later.

And all year they saved money to make Kirill Lavrov's dream of his own car come true. They ate the cheapest pasta and potatoes, didn't even buy an extra pair of socks, endlessly mending old ones, but in 1954 they bought a Moskvich. Lavrov was proud of his purchase and was just happy.

In 1955, at the invitation of Konstantin Khokhlov, Valentina and Kirill moved to Leningrad, where they became actors of the famous Bolshoi Drama Theater. In the same year, their son Sergei is born. After the death of Khokhlov, Kirill Yuryevich applied for dismissal, believing that he would hardly be able to work with the new director Tovstonogov. Georgy Alexandrovich convinced the actor to stay for a year.

Subsequently, Kirill Yuryevich will become one of the best and beloved actors of the great director, and after his death he himself will head the famous BDT.

In 1965, the couple had a long-awaited daughter. Kirill Yuryevich was on a business trip at that time and sent his wife a telegram in which he congratulated her on the birth of Mashenka. And Valentina understood how to name her daughter.

Valentina Alexandrovna, despite her obvious talent, decided to devote herself to the family. She understood that a man like Lavrov needed a reliable rear. Home and family demanded her attention and care, and without a shadow of a doubt she chose for herself the role of wife, mother, mistress of a hospitable home.

Kirill Yuryevich tried to spend every free minute with his family. And these minutes were not so many. Rehearsals, performances, filming took up all of his time. And then deputy work was added. The actor strove to help people and could tirelessly walk from office to office so that those in need were given an apartment, put a telephone or sent for treatment to a sanatorium.

And eternal love …

After 40 years of marriage, Kirill Yuryevich and Valentina Alexandrovna decided to get married. They knew for sure that their marriage was made in heaven.

When Valentina Alexandrovna fell ill, Kirill Yuryevich tried to look after her, as far as his time and energy was enough. Sitting in the hospital by the bed of his beloved, he held his wife's hand and constantly asked: "My girl, what can I do for you?"

After her departure in 2002, Kirill Yurievich was saved by work. The last years of his life, the actor and director struggled with leukemia, but on April 27, 2007, he died in the hospital. According to the will of Kirill Lavrov, they buried him in the church of the Leushinsky courtyard, where he was once baptized, and buried him next to his wife at the Theological cemetery in St. Petersburg.

Kirill Lavrov was happy because his loved ones were always with him. In this regard, his teacher and leader Georgy Tovstonogov was not so successful: there was no beloved woman next to him, but there were his sons and sister
