Norwegian company Ringnes, engaged in the production of soft drinks, has created huge plastic bottle and launched her into free sailing across the endless sea expanses. But this was done not for hooligan purposes, but to study the current state Oceans … It looks like launching a variety of gigantic things to free-float on the ocean has become fashionable! Just a few months ago, American artist Max Mulhern sent two huge Aqua Dice dice to the Atlantic in an attempt to bring good luck to the pond. And the other day, a similar incident occurred in Norway, only there a plastic bottle was lowered into the water.
This was carried out by the Ringnes company, known for its soft drinks. And this bottle, which is about eight meters long and two in diameter, is also stylized for the products of this company.
Of course, this project is an unusual advertisement for Ringnes, but nevertheless its declared goal is to study the World Ocean. After all, the bottle is equipped with several devices at once to monitor various parameters, for example, the temperature of the water and its chemical composition. Also "on board" there are video cameras transmitting the image via satellites to the data processing center, a GPS sensor, as well as solar panels, which will power all these devices electrically.
And the main task of the giant bottle from Ringnes is to study the currents in the Atlantic Ocean. Indeed, according to preliminary information, the Gulf Stream is "dying", but this assumption still needs to be investigated.
