Matterhorn - a mountain peak, amazing in its beauty. It is located on the Italian-Swiss border, in the heart of the Wallis Alps. Professional climbers consider it a matter of honor to conquer this majestic mountain, and photographers prefer to admire it from afar. Today we present to our readers a collection of wonderful photographs so that they too have the opportunity to make a virtual trip to the foot of the Matterhorn.
For many years, the sheer walls of the Matterhorn instilled fear in climbers, so this mountain peak was one of the last to be conquered in the alpine ridge. Its height is 4478 meters. The first attempts to take the impregnable height date back to 1857, but they were unsuccessful. But the first to set foot on the top of the Matterhorn were climbers from the group of Edward Wimper in 1865. True, while descending, four of these desperate daredevils died due to a broken rope.
To date, all the walls and ridges of the Matterhorn have been conquered, there are thirty routes of varying difficulty, which allow you to reach the summit relatively safely both in summer and in winter. Landscape photographers also love to observe the Matterhorn at different times of the year.
The mountain is truly beautiful and surrounded by a snow-white snowy sea, and against the background of the green slopes of the foothills. The photographs show how the mountain looks at sunrise and sunset, during the day in sunlight and at night, surrounded by a starry sky. Note that the professional images of the Matterhorn have repeatedly been among the best according to the National Geographic edition.

Photos by John Fowler: only mountains can be better than mountains
Landscape shots by John Fowler are striking in their grandeur and color. The main motto of the photographer is short and laconic "light in nature", and all because John Fowler loves to catch the sun's rays through the lens, playing on spring greenery, mountain slopes, scallops of streams and waterfalls. The master's portfolio is so large that the finished pictures can be viewed for hours. We will save our readers' time and introduce them to photographs of mountainous terrain. After all, "only mountains can be better than mountains"
The world is a kaleidoscope: breathtaking photographs by Brent Townshend
Amazing finds can sometimes happen completely by accident. Give me some cards in hand An overview of the stunning constructions of playing cards
Constructions made of playing cards are so fragile and unreliable that the catch phrase "crumbled like a house of cards" has long been used when it is necessary to point out the fragility of any ideas, hopes and expectations. However, each of us, at least once in his life, tried to build a turret or two out of kings, ladies and jackets. I bet such turrets broke down without standing even for a few seconds, but there are craftsmen in the world who can rein in rebellious cards and create something special out of them
