Who did not add mustaches to photographs, lengthen their noses and enlarge their ears to make it funnier? However, man does not live by laughter alone. Two friends from Belgium: Ben Hooverts and Maxime Pissen - jointly make creative photographs, creating a world at the intersection of reality and fantasy. A series of drawings based on photographs is called "Penpho": from pencil + photography (pencil + photography).
As you know, the division of labor is very effective. Here are the inventors: 17-year-old Ben Goovaerts and 16-year-old Maxim Piessen - assigned creative responsibilities when creating photographs. Ben Hooverts is responsible for the pencil part - the fictional world, and Maxime Pissen takes photos and glues the big picture in Photoshop.
The combination of flat and volumetric images in photographs creates a fun effect. Authors of unusual portraits say: "Where reality ends, Penpho begins."
