June ended imperceptibly, the middle of summer is not far off, and there - the sea, vacation, rest, new horizons and impressions. Well, for those who do not have a vacation this summer, and new impressions "shine" only in the form of photographs of "vacationers" and a couple of souvenirs, their impressions and stunning photos for June 27 - July 03 suggested by the team National Geographic.

It is said that in the big cities of Japan, especially on the busy streets, it is extremely difficult to get a free taxi. And even if luck smiles, and a free taxi stops nearby, it can be taken away by more efficient citizens. In the city of Shinjuku, at a busy intersection, a picturesque picture was captured by photographer Travis Teo.

The Muslim world is now experiencing significant shake-ups: the people are divided into traditional adherents of Islamic laws, and those who believe that it is necessary to revise some traditions and customs in order to make them more adequate and adapted to modern society. This photo was taken by Oded Wagenstein in Istanbul, Turkey, on the Galta Bridge, which connects the more liberal western part of the city with the more traditional part.

The Glamis Dunes in California are considered the most popular dune freeride destination. All eminent freestyle and freeride masters come here to ride on the sand on their motorcycles and quads, as well as to fly on a paraglider. The flight of the paraglider over the golden sands of the dunes was just photographed by Glenn Tupper.

Long eyelashes frame the sad eyes of this South African elephant. Eric Langlay took this picture in South Africa in the Kruger National Park. By the way, the elephant of this very breed - Jabulani - is depicted on the label of Amarula cream liqueur, which also hails from exotic African places.

Yellowstone National Park, winter, snowy forest, and a grizzly bear with her baby in search of food. So that the baby bear does not get cold, tired and lost, a caring mother does not let him off her back, while she herself rummages in the snow, looking for something to profit from. And it looks like she just found a small rodent for the two of them for lunch. Photo by Trish Carney.

An amazing reptile that lives in Australia, the blue-tongued lizard (Tiliqua scincoides) from the skink family, apparently got its name from the peculiar dark blue color of the long tongue. It seems that the animal zealously nibbled a ballpoint pen, or quenched its thirst with blue. These lizards are one of the few that have settled well in the urban environment, preferring farm and city gardens as their home. However, although blue-tongued lizards live next to humans, people do not meet them very often.
