Do you think that Stefano Unterthiner's photo shows langur mothers raising their little babies? Not at all: these monkeys have a very close-knit team, and it is quite common practice to leave children to "babysitters". Every female langur goes through this position.

Photographer David Doubilet shows the silvery fish swimming past the arches of the Neptune Memorial Reef, also known as the Atlantis Reef or the Atlantic Memorial Myth. It is the world's first underwater cemetery, a mausoleum for storing cremated remains and the largest man-made reef in the world. The cremated remains of 200 people were mixed with cement, from which they formed all these decorative arches and columns, installed on the ocean floor in Florida, near Miami Beach.

This fearless young man was photographed by photographer Jimmy Chin balancing over Yosemite Falls, standing on a 2.5 cm rope. "I feel like I'm floating over a precipice like a bird," says rock climber Dean Potter. He is 2,600 feet off the ground, but a cable tied securely around his waist protects him from disaster.

And Jim Richardson's photo shows a Welsh pig grinning, probably from an agricultural exhibition that took place in Cardiff, near the St. Fagan National Museum of History.
