In childhood, we all dried leaves or flowers, leaving them for some time between the pages of some book, which we do not mind. Here comes the Spanish artist Ignacio Canales Aracil continues to do this in adulthood. Moreover, he achieved such success in this business that he creates volumetric sculptures from dried leaves and flowers.

Dried flowers and leaves are a memory of warm, green days. Thus, we leave ourselves a small piece of summer, with which we need to be very careful so that it does not crumble, as our memories of this time of year fall apart by winter.

And Ignacio Canales Araquil, it turns out, creates whole patterns of similar memories. Moreover, he does it so well that his works can be called the most real art. And he does without having to chop or cut the leaves, as Christoph Niemann does when creating his designer leaves.

The technology for creating such unusual sculptures is very simple and accessible to everyone with a little practice. Ignacio Canales Araquil takes two identical hollow forms, covers one of them from the inside with leaves and flowers, and then inserts another form there. After a while, when the vegetation dries up, and sculptures are obtained, and in order for them to be more preserved and not crumble from the very first touch, the author covers these sculptures with varnish. This does not in any way affect the lightness, airiness of the structure, but it makes it stronger.

Moreover, Ignacio specially travels to different cities and countries in order to collect local vegetation and use it in his work. So, for example, Fragility of Time 1 and Fragility of Time 2 (fragility of time 1 and fragility of time 2) are created from leaves and flowers collected by him from all over the United States of America.
