"And you haven't changed a bit!" - When we meet, our acquaintances, whom we have not seen for five to ten years, tell us. But, more often than not, they openly lie to us, give us a compliment! But a series of photo collages is devoted to how a person changes over the decades. Age Maps ("Age Map") from the artist Bobby Neel Adams.
Bobby Neil Adams is already known to our regular visitors for his mania to combine seemingly incompatible. Last time we talked about his project called ReSkinning Nature, which consists in creating artificial patches for damaged trees, and even earlier we talked about his project "Family Tree" (FamilyTree), in which he combined photographs of different members of the same family. This time, Adams is also combining. But he combines photographs of the same person, only at different ages!
To do this, Bobby Neal Adams takes a modern photograph of a person and a photograph of him several decades ago, when he was a child or adolescent. Then he tears these photographs apart and neatly combines two halves from different eras.
As a result, Adams has a portrait-collage, in which a person appears at once in two ages. And in this portrait you can clearly see how the years have changed a person, what kind of adult that cute smiling child has become.
Sometimes it is useful to remember your childhood, remember what you were, what you wanted to become in the future, what exactly you wanted to become, and correlate these memories with the resulting reality. This can push a person to new achievements, send him to conquer new horizons, which he dreamed of in his youth, but forgot during the period of growing up.
Here is the art project Age Maps by Bobby Neil Adams - this is one of the ways to relate the past and present yourself.

Everyone knows the great poet's passion for Ekaterina Bakunina, whom Pushkin himself called his first love. But was the first deep feeling really evoked by a young girl, while before meeting her impressionable Alexander had personally observed the captivating beauty and grace of Empress Elizaveta Alekseevna?
