"Family Tree" - a series of portraits of the closest family members, ie. father and son, mother and daughter, or even father and daughter or mother and son. Each person is photographed separately, and then the images are resized and printed. Two photographs are cut by hand, and different halves are glued together into one portrait, which clearly demonstrates to us how the laws of genetics work.
Bobby Neil Adams was born in North Carolina and now lives in New York. Most of his works are related to the changes that occur to the human body under the influence of time or circumstances. In the late 1980s, he began using a photomontage technique he called "photo surgery".
The author assures that he composes his collages by hand, without using a computer. Given the plethora of Photoshop-processed images these days, it's nice to see creativity that is the result of the work of the human mind and creativity, not a computer program.
