How legitimate is human intervention in nature? And is it necessary - even with good intentions? Does nature need the help that man offers her, and what exactly can he offer her? It is easier to refer the questions to the global section than to try to answer them. And yet Bobby Neel Adams in his series of photographs "ReSkinning Nature" invites us to think at least a little about this side of the relationship between nature and man.

It seems that they have already become defenseless due to damage to the cortex, they suffer even more due to uninvited interference in their lives. Although, perhaps, these metal elements are not patches at all, but simply the inner part of the tree, which is so all under the bark? By the way, we are not talking about using Photoshop: the author managed to cope with the task without any computer tricks. However, if someone thinks that all these "patches" are real, then this is also not so. For his project, Bobby Neil Adams photographed various materials in advance, and then inserted the photos in the places in the trees where the bark was damaged. After the necessary pictures were taken, these paper inserts were removed. So there is no cause for concern: as they say, not a single tree was damaged during the project.

In addition to "ReSkinning Nature", the author still has many interesting projects related to photography. Regular readers of our blog can remember the most interesting work "Family tree", where using the so-called method of photo surgery, Bobby Neal Adams compiled collages from images of children and parents.
