Fans of the show about how Ted Mosby, an architect, met "your mother," know exactly what it means to "dress up," especially when asked by Barney Stinson, the adorable in a stylish suit pair. Here comes the photographer Scott Newett with his partner, designer and stylist Sonia Rentsch decided to dress up porcelain dishes for dinner in the same way, having photographed the entire series so that an original and funny art project called Dinner etiquette … Each still life, decorated and dressed in a special way, appropriate to the occasion, looks not only "alive" and "animated", but also emphasizes the importance of the dress code at official ceremonial events. In addition, with the help of this art project, the authors were able to realize their associative ideas about how to dress for a particular reception.
Tastefully selected wardrobe emphasizes the individual characteristics of each, and in the still lifes of Scott Newett and Sony Rentch, the important role of accessories is also played up. So, for Dinner Etiquette, they were cups and glasses, spoons and saucers, and even an empty sugar bowl came in handy to complete the created image of a stylish dandy with its help.
