Master of visual illusory installations, French maestro Leandro Erlich, recently appeared before visitors to the Parisian art gallery Le 104 with an amazing art project Batiment (Building) … This mirrored masterpiece of modern art, something between architecture and installation, is very much in the spirit of the best works of this author. Simple and original, and therefore interesting, captivating and, why hide, ingenious - these are the basic principles of constructing installations by Leandro Ehrlich. It happened this time too. The wall of the building, with exquisite window frames, balconies and various architectural decoration of the facade, is "built" on the floor, and opposite is a huge mirror, placed vertically. Such simple manipulations lead to the fact that a lying person will be reflected standing or hanging on the wall, like the famous Spiderman.
While having fun with a mirror installation, people can take any position on the horizontal "wall", and in the mirror opposite to observe themselves in a completely different form. Not only children, but also fully established adults will not refuse to take part in this performance. This is the essence of the Batiment exposition.
In addition to this, the author has a lot of interesting art projects, which can be seen on his website. The Batiment installation will be on display at the Le 104 gallery until March 2012.

Pool-non-pool. Fake Swimming Pool art project by Leandro Erlich
Look into the pool and see people in it walking freely along the bottom, laughing, talking, breathing, jumping and even dancing - something from the realm of fantasy. But those who had a chance to visit the city of Kanazawa and visit The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art will disagree with you, because they were able not only to see this spectacle with their own eyes, but also to become its direct participants, jumping, running and laughing enough at the bottom of the pool, under the water column.
