Polish-American artist Adam Niklewicz known for his unconventional approach to art in all its forms. So, once we were already surprised by his sculptures, demonstrating the other side of things and objects familiar to us, and providing an opportunity to take a fresh look at the everyday and everyday life that surrounds us. Recently, the artist painted an unusual fresco on the brick wall of an old synagogue in the city of Hartford. The charter oak: a huge oak tree, a symbol of the American spirit of independence. Why unusual? The fact is that this massive tree can be seen only under one condition: if it is damp and raining outside. This condition is very symbolic, since water gives life to all living things, nourishes people, plants - and trees too, allowing them to grow, blossom and grow stronger. In order to achieve such an effect of secrecy for the fresco, the artist had to work hard. First, cut and paste the image of that famous oak on the wall, and then apply a water-repellent coating to a large area of the brick wall, leaving only the surface with the frescoed tree intact.
After the template was removed, it became impossible to guess that this wall is fraught with an art secret. And the only way to reveal this secret is to wait for the rain, or to wet the brick wall with spray guns or sprayers. The author of the project installed these "water cannons" against the wall with The Charter Oak, so that those wishing to admire the unusual picture did not stick out in front of it, begging for rain from the sky, but could arrange it on their own.
By the way, there are many curious people eager to see the emerging fresco with the image of an oak with their own eyes. Therefore, the art project The Charter Oak by artist Adam Niklewicz is a success. You can see other works of the author on his website.

Catholic chapel inside the oldest oak tree in France
The French village of Allouville-Belfoss boasts a Catholic chapel in one of its most unusual locations. Its walls are the bark of a centuries-old oak - the oldest tree in France. How old it is is not known for sure: locals say that the oak is a fragment of the Charlemagne era, but most likely it grew only in the 13th century, which is also impressive. When the tree was in its prime, at the end of the 17th century, lightning struck it. And although the core of the oak was burned out, its sores healed over time, squaw

The other side of ordinary objects in sculptures by Adam Niklewicz
There is no single answer to the question of where the muse that gives inspiration is born. The fact is that this young lady is so nimble and nimble, she loves experiments and extravagance so much that she can sometimes be found in the most inappropriate places. For example, at a garbage dump. Or at a stationery store. Or even in the living room of his home. Thus, the Polish-American artist Adam Niklewicz draws inspiration from everyday objects that he sees a hundred times a day
