Australian Juann Mann is exactly the person, thanks to whom a stranger can suddenly swoop in on you and … hug you. She will also thank you for the hug and wish you a good day. Do not be surprised, the whole world is already engaged in such things.
The Free Hugs movement originated in 2004 in Australia, at one of the Sydney airports. A certain Juann Mann, who flew in from London, was sad that no one met him. Joan looked sadly at the other passengers who threw themselves into the arms of their friends and family. The Australian became offended that he did not have the opportunity to smile at someone, to receive a smile in return, to hug a person.
To Juan's credit, he was not taken aback. Once at one of the intersections, he picked up a cardboard with a marker and wrote "Free Hugs". So he stood for about 15 minutes, until a man approached him, slapping him on the shoulder and announcing that his pet had died in the morning. Then passers-by began to give Juanna hugs, in return receiving a sincere smile and good mood.
A couple of years later, the movement became famous thanks to the music video of an Australian rock band. Around the world, groups of positive-minded people with colorful posters in their hands and requests for a hug on their lips took to the main streets, hunting passers-by. The movement is also popular in Russia. In various cities, people are given positive emotions and warmth emanating from hugs, groups of, on average, 10-15 people and 50 or more.
Passers-by, embracing the followers of Juan Mann, react in different ways: someone smiles, others do not understand what the matter is for a long time, and others do not hesitate to make new acquaintances.
Giving each other free hugs, people dilute even the most dreary and gray everyday life, filling them with warmth and joy.
