White, black or milky, with almonds, hazelnuts or even roasted nuts - perhaps the list goes on almost indefinitely! Of course, we are talking about chocolate, so different, but invariably loved by millions! A real ode to this delicacy was created by the British writer Joan Harris, the author of the cult novel "Chocolate". It is not for nothing that Hollywood director Lass Hallstrom made a film version of it even before it went to print, inviting the leading roles of world favorites - Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp! But the "monument" to this dessert can rightfully be considered chocolate dresses, which are annually demonstrated by the best "sculptors-pastry chefs" at Chocolate Salon (Salon du Chocolat)!
The tradition of holding Chocolate Salons has been going on for 18 years, for the first time this event was held in the capital of France in 1994. Since then, it has attracted chocolatiers, representatives of renowned confectionery factories, small family businesses and, of course, gourmets from all over the world. This year, the Chocolate Salon takes place in Zurich (Switzerland) from March 30 to April 1.
For three days, everyone will be able to see the exposition of chocolate, as well as attend master classes on making it. The show of chocolate dresses becomes a real highlight of every Salon! Opera was the main theme of this year's parade. “Couturier” presented chic “edible” outfits on the catwalk: there is nothing on the body of the models, except for delicacies. Fluffy skirts made of chocolate lace, corsets made of candies, beads, ruffles and brooches, even body painting, and that one is chocolate!
The main problem confectioners face is the melting temperature of 33 degrees Celsius, which is lower than the temperature of the human body. To keep the "magic" until the end of the show, the chocolate recipe has to be improved by adding pectin. You can find out more about the Chocolate Salon on the website!
Of course, the French and doormen are not the only chocolate lovers! For example, Americans are holding a chocolate festival in Fairfax, the symbol of which is the chocolate bear, and the visiting card is the chocolate fountain! But China turned into a chocolate country altogether when a large theme park dedicated to all sweet tooths was opened in Shanghai!

New Yorkers, however, like other people, have an ambivalent attitude towards rats.
