The representatives of the Singapore Museum of Art probably knew what they were doing when they asked the photographer Samantha Tio to take a series of photographs of the city at night for the TransportAsian exhibition, because the girl coped with the task just brilliantly.
Samantha took the heavy traffic in Asia as the basis for her future photographs. A series of experiments with multiple and long exposures, then playing with shape and composition, and breathtaking images resembling pictures from a kaleidoscope are ready. Now you know that the expression "the city is asleep" is actually somewhat exaggerated: in fact, regardless of the time of day, traffic does not stop for a second.
Samantha Tio called her series Conveyance. This word, according to the photographer, conveys the meaning of images in the best possible way: to transport, to move from one place to another, and in particular - to move in a continuous stream.
Samantha Tio, also known as Mintio, began her passion for professional photography at the age of 16. The girl attended classes at one of the leading studios in Singapore - One-twenty-one Studios, and in 2005 she received a bachelor's degree in photography from the School of Art, Design and Media, NTU. Her favorite subjects are fashion, portraits and dances.

Night city: original photographs by Alexey Kuklin
The city at night has a very special charm - the bright lights of lanterns create unique contrasts that disappear without a trace in the morning. Many photographers try to capture these night hours, but almost all the attention goes to the largest metropolitan areas, where life is in full swing and a sea of artificial light is raging around the clock. The talented photographer Aleksey Kuklin takes pictures of Yekaterinburg, and he looks just magical in the master's original photographs
Multiple exposure photographs: the streets of a city at night through the eyes of a Japanese taxi driver
Issui Enomoto is an ordinary taxi driver from the Japanese city of Yokohama who often has to work at night. Driving through the streets of his hometown, he loves to take photographs, in which you can most often see bright advertising posters, shop lights and, of course, lonely people. Issui Enomoto's favorite technique is multiple exposures, which give his pictures a touch of mystery
City Lights at Night: Photographs by Christian Stoll
American writer Ed McBain compared the city to a huge woman, incredibly beautiful in the evening and at night, and repulsive in the morning - without makeup and in curlers. Anyone who has seen the lights of a night metropolis at least once will hardly ever forget this sight, and will be able to understand what is drawing people into this seemingly soulless collection of concrete boxes and snorting cars. German photographer and designer Christian Stoll gives us this opportunity
"Book traffic" on the roads of Melbourne. Luzinterruptus' intelligent Literature VS Traffic installation
Thousands of firefly books flooded the street in Melbourne, blocking pedestrians and motorists from passing. They seemed to soundlessly cry out to those around them: stop, do not rush, think, look through the book! With such an unusual installation called Literature VS Traffic, the creative group Luzinterruptus attracted the attention of city residents to reading
