True, instead of paints, chocolate strokes were laid on the "canvas", which made Jean Zon's painting original, unusual, and special.
“I am literally stuck in a puddle of chocolate,” the artist says with a smile about her past. So, she started with the decoration-painting of sweets and chocolate bars, and when she saw that the results were pleasing not only to her, but also to the visitors of the store, she moved on to larger-scale "canvases". This is how her chocolate paintings appeared, which we can now admire, but alas, in photographs.
Jean Zon paints with "paints" of white, black and milk chocolate, adding food coloring to them, also uses small candy-dragees, colored sugar and confectionery icing. It takes her about a week to work on the painting, after which she inserts it into an edible frame and covers it with a special glaze. Of course, the paintings can be eaten, says the artist, but I paint them not at all for the stomach, but for the eyes, so that they hang on the wall, or stand on the bedside table as beautiful souvenirs. Eh, it's easy to say, but difficult to do, knowing that all this is very tasty and sweet.
