Andrew Mays loves to wander around New York with his camera and shoot the lights of the city at night. The views from the rooftop and from the street to bridges and parks, streets and avenues make you forget about everything and plunge into the atmosphere of a frozen metropolis, which, according to the talented photographer, is especially good after rain. And most importantly, there is always a view to your liking.
Andrew Mace started taking city photography relatively recently - about three years ago. After a trip to the West, he decided to scrape the bottom of the barrel and get out of there a long-dusty camera. Moreover, New York is a fertile ground for evening and night shots.
Andrew Mays says New York offers unlimited shooting opportunities. If you want - click sights in an unexpected angle, if you want - wander around the city and capture the faces of random passers-by. New York is good because there is always a subject for urban photography.
The only problem is that very many people like to take city photographs, and it is very difficult to find an interesting place or catch a view that no one has ever photographed before. Therefore, Andrew Mays most often climbs to the roof: aerial photographs are less trivial.
According to Andrew Mace, night lights flicker best after rain. A thunderstorm will wash over New York - and the air will become sweet, and the light of windows, headlights, lanterns and neon signs will be reflected in the puddles on the pavement. What could be more beautiful!
