Video: Who tamed whom: portraits of pets and their owners in the Tobias Lang photo project

It is a well-known "folk wisdom" that pets are almost always strikingly reminiscent of their owners - or vice versa. For those who still have doubts about this, the last compelling evidence should be a photo cycle. Your Pet and You German photographer Tobias Lang.
At the moment, Lang's photo cycle is not over. This is not surprising - the photographer attacked an almost inexhaustible topic. Taking photographs of people of all ages and social status and giving them "back to back" with no less varied portraits of their pets is an ingenious idea, which in each case gives its own unpredictable result. Lang hopes to collect the fruits of his labors in a book in the future.
In the process of "research" Lang comes across the owners of not only the usual cats and dogs, but also more exotic animals - owls, snakes, iguanas, chameleons and so on. However, even in the case of animals, whose facial expressions and appearance do not at all resemble human ones, Lang manages to find similarities between the pet and the owner. It is difficult to say what is the matter here - in the fact that the omen really works, or in the skill of the photographer.
Lang's project began as a pure accident. The photographer unexpectedly took a picture of a neighbor's cat jumping on a wooden stand at his house, and then photographed the neighbor himself. Placed back to back, the photographs produced a funny effect. Soon Lang's friends were already begging him to take the same photographs of himself with their pets, which must be sitting on the same piece of wood.
Readers of Kulturologia.ru are already familiar with many photographers, whose models are our feathered and furry neighbors on the planet: from Martina Harveyphotographing pink flamingos in the field, to eccentrics, scanning own cats. Lang is interested in all animals at once: he posted an ad on his Facebook page with the help of which he hopes to find the owners of "a chicken, a goose, a parrot, an otter, a meerkat, a pig, a hare, a hamster, a frog, a snail and various reptiles." If you are lucky enough to keep an otter with you, we recommend contacting Lang.
