The genre "Me and My Cat" is almost the same age as the Internet. Now, when the network is filled with billions of photos of people with Persian cats against the background of Persian carpets and German shepherds against the background of Slavic cabinets, it is hard to believe that photos of people with their animals can look decent. And yet there is no impossible task for an artist! The proof is - people and animals in wonderful photos of Carly Davidson.

Carli Davidson from the state of Oregon is a famous female photographer with a very narrow (or broad - as you look at) specialization. She is a specialist in animal photography. An ardent love for our smaller brothers accompanied Carly all her life: for more than seven years she worked as a trainer and caretaker of animals, at the same time not forgetting to improve herself in photography.

The result is obvious: her photographs have been published in Photo District News, The Atlantic, Britain's The Times, Portland Monthly, The Village Voice, The Oregonian, and many others. Carly Davidson also teaches: her lectures on photography can be heard at the Portland Institute of the Arts and Evergreen College in Washington.

Carly Davidson currently works as a photographer at the Oregon Zoo, creating wonderful photo shoots for rhinos, orangutans and armadillos, as well as participating in numerous photo projects to save animals. So, she owns a series of photographs about veterinary surgery, which makes you feel empathy for the animals in the zoo. Another series is dedicated to disabled animals and their wonderful owners; not without photos of wildlife, promoting "green" ideas. And, of course, Carly Davidson's gallery would be incomplete without series of photos "People and Animals" (People & Pets).

Carly Davidson shows the kinship between the animal and her two-legged friend through shared emotion. Thanks to these photos of people and animals we are unnecessarily convinced that cats, dogs, parrots and snakes are not just guests and parasites in our homes, and even not only individualities, but also a continuation of our own "I".
