We are always pleased and touched by products made for children or using baby paraphernalia: children's faces, drawings, cartoon characters and other naive decorations. Therefore, it is not surprising that the "Stomping Calendar", created by Ukrainian designer Yurko Gutsulyak for the HUGGIES company, received a Gold award at the European Design Awards 2009 in its nomination.
The idea of the Gutsulyak art studio is simple and naive: every day the baby gets older, stronger, stronger, day after day he learns something new, because every new day is a new step forward. Therefore, the designers decided to make the indicators of the days of the week in the form of children's feet, which must be moved one by one along the vertical lines of the calendar, imitating the children's "top-top".
And it was decided to make the general background of the "stomping calendar" the same childish and naive, so the texture drawings depict flowers, ducks, bears, bunnies and other objects, one way or another connected with kids and the process of learning about the world. Each season is also colored differently: the winter months are blue, the spring months are green, the summer months are yellow, and the autumn months are orange.
Needless to say, children's feet stomping on the calendar instantly captivated the jury members?:)
