Video: Reason for a friend: friendly cartoons by Adam Ellis

When Eugene Onegin was out of sorts, he drew "in his soul caricatures of all the guests" who came in large numbers for the name day. When the artist Adam Ellis is out of sorts, he does the same, but in reality. And the reasons for friendly cartoons are unwittingly given to him by the "victims" themselves. One has only to go to the Internet, open Facebook - and here it is, fertile material: tons of funny, stupid or strange photos that just ask for the project of friendly cartoons "Never Be My Friend" ("Don't be my friend").
26-year-old American Adam Ellis is an artist living in Portland. He graduated from the Art Institute in Boston three years ago with a degree in illustration and design. Over the years of wandering, Adam Ellis managed to live in several US states and make hundreds of friends and acquaintances - the so-called friends with whom you can exchange a couple of phrases on social networks.
Although now Adam Ellis jokes that he is surprised how he is generally tolerated in friends, given all his friendly cartoons, sometimes rather spiteful. Artists are big inventors: as soon as you turn away, you have already painted horns, or instead of your favorite tattoo they wrote “blah-blah-blah” (as an option - “whatever”), and very few people will like exaggerated portraits.
However, what Adam Ellis calls "artistic liberties" is very funny. The audience likes it. Until they themselves become objects of cartoons. However, even this is not scary for people with a sense of humor. And the moral is something like this: you should not post incriminating photos in the public domain if your friends know how to draw.
