Graphic design student at West Hungarian University Barbara Bernat (Barbara bernat), as part of her graduation project, created a series of fictional euro banknotes with beautiful and accurate images of representatives of flora and fauna inhabiting Europe.

Its bills are made in the same sizes as real money: from small to larger, depending on the denomination. The future designer did not want dead politicians or the facades of old buildings to “look” with her money, so she replaced them with images more pleasing to the eye. Birds or animals are drawn on one side, and plants on the other.

Barbara even tried to make something akin to watermarks on her money. Looking at fake euros in ultraviolet light, you can see the skeletons of animals on them.

To make the bills look more believable, Barbara transferred her drawings to copper engravings, which she then used to simulate the intaglio printing process.

Unlike counterfeit money, real money can also be misused. Johnny Swing and Mark Wagner, for example, create from dollar bills sculptures of animals.
