A million euros is a very common price in today's live property market. There are houses that cost tens or even hundreds of millions. An Irish artist Frank Buckley built myself housing for 1.4 billion euros!
On the site Novate. Ru we talked about the Antilia building - the largest and most expensive private house in the world, which is estimated at $ 1 billion. But this Indian record was recently broken in Ireland. The Billion Euro House was built there for 1.4 billion euros!
True, the artist Frank Buckley, who is the creator of the Billion Euro House, did not have to shell out such an incredible amount of money for this construction. Instead, he turned to the Central Bank of Ireland, where he was gladly given old euro notes, already crushed into dust. It was from this material that Buckley built his house.
To begin with, he created bricks with dimensions of twenty by five centimeters from paper dust. And from these blocks, the "cost" of each of which is equal to 40-50 thousand euros, he built a residential building, in which he settled.
Billion Euro House has one bedroom, kitchen and living room. The latter is also an exhibition gallery with works by Frank Buckley.
Moreover, the artist lives quite normally in this house during the harsh winter months. He claims to even do without a warm blanket - crushed banknotes, it turns out, are an excellent heat insulator.
The main goal that Frank Buckley pursued with the creation of Billion Euro House is to show the absurdity that price increases in the real estate market can reach. But the secondary one is to create for yourself a place for life and creativity. Buckley got the A's on both tasks!
