What to do with all the rubbish that no, no, but is collected in our homes on balconies, in closets, cellars and basements, in garages and dachas, in general, everywhere? Of course, to hand over something to waste paper, something for scrap, and if you are too lazy to mess around, then throw it in the trash, and that's it. However, some may disagree with you, and the opinion of this "someone" should be heeded, because he is a famous artist and sculptor. Tom Deiningerwho is capable kilograms of trash turn into breathtaking works of art: portraits, landscapes, still lifes … From afar, Deininger's masterpieces do not arouse any special suspicion, and look like the most ordinary, however, made in a special style and technique, oil paintings or acrylics. The secret of the peculiarities of both technique and style is revealed only when the paintings are viewed up close. And what is not in them: bolts and nuts, laces and wiring, spare parts from computers and telephones, fragments of plastic dishes, scraps of fabric, and God knows what else, found by the artist in the bins of his garages and basements, as well as brought by neighbors, relatives, acquaintances …
Nature and portraits of women are the two main themes of this artist's "trash" painting, and it is no coincidence that this is so. Tom Deininger states that it is art and women, well, surfing and outdoor recreation, that are his main interests in this life. Apparently, protecting nature and paying tribute to art, he draws portraits of women from garbage, turning something useless, unnecessary and unattractive into beautiful, original and interesting.
However, Tom Deininger does not all the time digging through the trash and messing around with trash. He is also involved in real painting, and all of these paintings can be seen on his personal website. Tom also lectures at local schools and colleges. The artist lives and works in Rhode Island, takes care of his wife, brings up three children.
