Exhibition of a German photographer Ivonne Thein entitled "32 kilograms" Is a real horror room. No, there are no rivers of blood, sinister monsters, or instruments of torture. There are only young girls torturing themselves in the name of a beautiful figure.
Those who believe that art should evoke extremely positive emotions will definitely not like Yvonne Tyne's photographs. What aesthetic pleasure there is when looking at protruding bones and emaciated bodies. But the author raises a very important problem, and one cannot remain silent about it: all the photographs are dedicated to the terrible disease of recent years - anorexia.
Not a single photo shows the model's face: the author deliberately uses this technique in order to focus the viewer's attention on the body emaciated by diets. By the way, in fact, the heroines of Yvonne Tyne's photographs are her friends, and their figures are the result of digital manipulations. Yvonne Tyne herself was very worried that her photo project could be perceived as a desire to show anorexia in a glamorous light. And yet I was not afraid to take a chance and present “32 kilograms” to the public.
The author decided to take on this art project after she learned about the existence of sites on the network, whose visitors chose anorexia as a way of life. "32 kilograms" is an attempt to draw public attention to the existing problem. But the worst thing: while most of the guests of the exhibition viewed the photos with horror and pity, the girls from these very sites, which were opposed by Yvonne Tyne, printed her pictures and hung them on the walls as sources of inspiration.

Beauty or anorexia? Art project "32 kilo", photo manipulations by Ivonne Thein
The motto of many modern girls is "The less the better", and we are talking about the number of kilograms per square centimeter of the body. But the pursuit of the ideal often leads to the desire not only to catch up, but also to overtake, and as a result - to anorexia. Beauty or painful thinness? Art-pr

Kilograms of trash. "Trash" art by Tom Deininger
What to do with all the rubbish that no, no, but is collected in our homes on balconies, in closets, cellars and basements, in garages and dachas, in general, everywhere? Of course, to hand over something to waste paper, something for scrap, and if you are too lazy to mess around, then throw it in the trash, and that's it. However, some people may disagree with you, and the opinion of this "someone" should be heeded, because he is the famous artist and sculptor Tom Deininger, who is capable of turning kilograms of rubbish
