Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, a well-known musician, leader of the Ukrainian group Okean Elzy, opposed the creation of blacklists of artists who, we recall, are prohibited from entering the country. At the same time, Vakarchuk stressed that if a person violated the law of the country from a legal point of view, then he should not be allowed into the country.
Another question is that in this case he should be arrested for the corresponding violation. At the same time, the musician said that if we are not talking about a legal law, but about some moral and ethical attitudes and we are talking about artists, then the listeners themselves, and not the officials, should decide. Citizens must independently express their position and “vote with deeds”, for example, they simply don’t buy tickets for a concert of some performer - then it will become quite obvious that he is not welcome here, without any “black lists” there.
Recall that a few days ago, on December 8, representatives of the SBU denied the information circulating on the Internet that Russian artists would be allowed to enter the territory of Ukraine during Eurovision-2017. We add that we were talking about artists who were blacklisted by the security service. At the same time, according to semi-official data, the organizers of Eurovision called on the Ukrainian authorities to cancel the validity of the lists for the duration of the international competition.
Separately, we add that today already 140 Russian cultural workers cannot enter the territory of Ukraine. Among these persons were Mikhail Boyarsky, Oleg Gazmanov, Iosif Kobzon. The first lists appeared in Ukraine after a number of cultural figures signed a letter to the Russian president with a request to intervene in the situation amid the "Ukrainian crisis". In addition, some Russian films and TV series, which the local authorities considered propaganda, were banned in Ukraine.
