Czech artist Monika Horčicová creates sculptures from repeating parts that mimic human bones. Despite the choice of such an unusual material, her work does not look creepy or repulsive.
According to the artist herself, her most significant work was a sculpture called The Wheel of Life … This wheel symbolizes infinity: life replaces death, after death life comes again. 29 pairs of legs represent the non-stop movement of people forward.
The process of creating a sculpture is very painstaking. First, Monika Horchikova prints a small copy of each individual part on a 3D printer, then makes the same one, only on an enlarged scale from plaster or polyester resin. After that, she connects all the parts together.
