On February 8, People's Artist of Russia Irina Muravyova celebrates her 71st birthday. Films with her participation have long become classics, and her heroines are so familiar to absolutely all viewers that it seems to many that they have known the actress herself for a long time. But behind the scenes, she is so different from her heroines that she does not even rejoice at her success - she believes that this is their merit, and not hers, the real one. One of the actress's favorite holidays has always been not her birthday, but May 9, because it is with Victory Day that she associates that chain of happy events, thanks to which she was born. Her father volunteered for the front immediately after leaving school, at the very beginning of the war. My grandmother was a believer and sewed into his tunic the psalm "Living Help", with which he survived the entire war and reached Berlin without receiving a single wound. The mother of the actress was from Belarus, and from there, during the occupation, she was sent to forced labor in Germany, where they met her father. Both went through all the hardships of the war, but miraculously remained safe and sound. In 1949 their daughter Irina was born. And the actress's husband, director Leonid Eidlin, survived the blockade of Leningrad in his infancy, so Victory Day has always been a special holiday in their family. Muravyova is very fond of front-line songs, and together with the troupe of the Maly Theater, they often gave concerts from the songs of the war years.

In her school years, she dreamed of becoming a teacher, but then she was glad that this did not happen - she believes that she would not have enough patience for this. Already in high school, Irina Muravyova called the theater her main hobby. Although she appeared on stage only during school concerts, when teachers asked her to recite poetry, she firmly decided to enter the theater. But neither this year nor the next she was admitted to any of the capital's universities. They believed in her talent only in the studio at the Central Children's Theater, where she stayed for 7 years. Then Muravyova moved to the Mossovet Theater, finally entered GITIS (at the age of 30!), And since 1993 she has been performing on the stage of the Maly Theater.

Muravyova gives interviews, but in general she is wary of journalists - too often they wrote lies about her. She is generally extremely reluctant to talk about herself and is reputed to be one of the most private actresses, declaring every time: "". Probably, only the closest people know her real. After all, her family has always remained in the foreground for her, and public life has never attracted her.

Although the actress generally liked her roles, she dislikes her famous heroines from the films "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears", "Carnival", "The Most Charming and Attractive". Muravyova is a native Muscovite, intelligent and restrained, and she played, as a rule, insolent provincial women and rude simpletons - the complete opposite of herself. The actress admitted: "".

Probably, all the directors who worked with her considered it a gift of fate - after all, she never scandalized, did not attract undue attention to herself, did not consider herself a star. The director of the film "The Most Charming and Attractive" Gerald Bezhanov said: "".

She herself initially did not believe in the success of any of her most famous films. So it was with "The most charming and attractive": "".

Such a resounding success of her film roles was always very surprising to Muravyov. She considers herself a theatrical actress, and calls filming a secondary occupation. And he treats people's love with distrust - after all, the audience does not admire her, but the screen heroines, who are not at all like her. In addition, the actress is not proud of all her roles. In the 1990s, during the crisis in domestic cinema, she starred in several films only because she needed to exist for something. Now Muravyova says that then "".

Irina Muravyova does not attend social events, not only because she loves to spend all her free time with her family or alone - already in adulthood she became very religious and more often began to feel the need to be alone with herself, especially after the loss of her husband in 2014.
