A wedding is not only an event that every girl dreams of, but also a reason to talk, discussing various details and moments for a long time. Moreover, when it comes to celebrity couples, often arranging whole shows in honor of a significant celebration. In addition, not all celebrities are eager to attract everyone's attention. And while some are throwing parties for several days, others are secretly trying to fly to the islands in order to hide from prying paparazzi and prying eyes.

What can we say, and business tycoon Arun Nayyar really wanted to impress his future wife Elizabeth with one of the most lush and eventful weddings in history. It is a pity that all the millions of dollars he spent on organizing the ceremony were not enough to maintain a stable marriage for more than a year and a half. The couple first held a civil ceremony at Sudley Castle in Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, and the next night, in the same place, they arranged a holiday with a blessing. After that, Hurley traveled from Hollywood to Bollywood, tying the knot in a second ceremony, wearing a pink sari at the Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur. Although the ceremony was short, the party lasted an entire week and included Hindu rituals, dancing with white horses, artfully painted elephants and camels, as well as massive sandstone structures and floors covered with thousands of red, hot chili peppers that sparked a genuine interest in those around them.

2. Jay-Z and Beyonce

Jay-Z and Beyoncé are one of the most popular hip-hop couples who could easily have had their wedding anywhere. After all, these two are not only famous, but also immensely rich. In principle, if they wanted to arrange their marriage at the Eiffel Tower, then, most likely, they could do it. Instead, they chose their New York penthouse because they wanted to completely isolate themselves from the pesky crowds of paparazzi who might enter the ceremony uninvited. The lovers held a secret ceremony in front of their closest relatives and friends (about forty people attended the wedding), throwing a delightful party on a grand scale until the morning, the main decoration of which were about sixty thousand snow-white orchids, brought from Thailand specially for such a special occasion.

3. Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz

Have you heard the adage “When a rock star is trying to organize his / her wedding, it is only natural that he / she asks his / her attendants to wear something black to match the chosen look”? This is exactly what Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz did when he married Ashlee Simpson. The wedding took place in her parents' backyard in Encino, California, and was attended by about one hundred and fifty guests, all dressed in black. And yet, despite this, the entire wedding was dedicated to "Alice in Wonderland.": The cake was made in the shape of a clock from the famous Disney cartoon, there were white tents decorated with black carpets, white sofas with red pillows, card-themed decorations all over the place, black chandeliers and tons of red roses. And for the guests there was even a photo booth, where they received a souvenir: a red box with cookies with the inscription: "Eat me."

4. Britney Spears and Kevin Federline

Many will surely remember the day when up-and-coming young pop star Britney Spears and the guy people called "Meat Pole" decided to drop all caution and say yes. Their wedding was originally planned as a massive October wedding at Bacara in Santa Barbara, but the paparazzi somehow figured out the date and place, leaving Alison Fox, the wedding planner, just ten days to come up with and organize a completely new, unexpected wedding, one that later took place at her own home. Not only was the wedding a complete surprise to many people (including the couple's families, who, like everyone else, were not informed of the change in plans), Britney and Kevin sent everyone in attendance tracksuits, white for the boys and pink for girls. The pink ones have the maid lettering on the back and the white ones have the bad guy lettering, and all the guests were asked to appear in these tracksuits, just for a laugh. Apparently, many of the guests did follow the joke and later changed their clothes on the spot.

5. Katie Price and Peter Andre

Do you remember the news of Katy Price and Peter Andre's hasty marriage? After meeting on "I'm a celebrity … Get me out of here!" In 2004, the two stars shocked the world with their speed and determination: first they had a son, and then within a year they got married, having a magnificent wedding at Highclere Castle, worth one hundred and thirty-seven million pounds sterling in 2005, choosing the theme of fairy tales. The whole ceremony was Cinderella style, glamorous and incredibly expensive, and Katie was dressed in a hot pink, voluminous princess dress. However, no Cinderella-style celebration would be complete without the pumpkin carriage in which the bride arrived. In fact, her carriage was so amazing that four more high-profile marriages were arranged with her later.

6. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

One would expect these two to have a huge number of guests at their wedding ceremony, a venue thousands of square feet in diameter, fireworks, cheers and camera flashes. However, JT and Jessica did not want only one thing - that a bunch of paparazzi popping up out of nowhere ruined the intimacy of their wedding, so they decided to leave the country to get married. So they packed their bags, packed their friends and family, and tied the knot at the Borgo Egnatia resort in Italy, accompanied by celebrities such as Jimmy Fallon, Timbaland and Andy Samberg (to name just a few). It is also worth noting the fact that Questlove was invited as a DJ during the wedding reception, and the celebration itself cost the couple six and a half million dollars.

7. Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren

Despite the fact that this marriage ended with a fifty-four million dollar prenuptial contract that Tiger Woods refused to pay to Elin Nordegren, their wedding day was memorable. At that time, it was one of the most expensive weddings in the world. Woods really did not skimp on how to properly retire with his future wife away from human eyes, and even more so from annoying paparazzi. He not only rented the entire Sandy Lane hotel in Barbados and a luxury yacht, but also used the services of the only helicopter company on the island, giving them the task of keeping an eye on the paparazzi so that they did not fly over their heads.

One of the best things about being a celebrity (besides… well, many things) is the freedom to organize your wedding virtually anywhere in the world. Russell Brand and Katy Perry proved this when they realized that they wanted to get married somewhere outside the United States and that India is really not that far away, especially when it is possible to rent a private jet, take all your friends and family with you and be there in less than fourteen hours. This is why Russell and Katie chose a traditional Indian wedding. During the ceremony, they both wore traditional Indian clothing, while about twenty camels, elephants, horses and other animals were involved in their wedding procession, accompanied by real Indian music.

9. Nicole Richie and Joel Madden

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden's wedding can be summed up in one word - magical. The wedding ceremony took place at Lionel Richie's Beverly Hills estate as the couple chose an old, Hollywood, glamorous vibe for their wedding. In addition, their wedding has been discussed for a long time and is still discussed sometimes. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, Nicole was wearing not one, not two, but as many as three wedding dresses, which she safely changed throughout the entire celebration. Secondly, the number of celebrities was simply amazing: Gwen Stefani, Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Pete Wentz, Gavin Rossdale and many others. And last but not least, Lionel decided to surprise his beloved by bringing a real, live elephant to the ceremony, explaining that Nicole has always been crazy about these animals.

10. Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan

The man who gave us Facebook and all its fame decided to host the ceremony and reception with Priscilla Chan in the backyard of their California home in Palo Alto. Despite the fact that Mark spared no money for his wedding, there were no high-profile celebrities at the celebration., but only a hundred people, including family, friends and loved ones. However, Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong sang at this gorgeous couple's wedding. Most insane, though, was that the couple managed to surprise both their guests and the media by presenting their wedding as a “prom night” for Chan, who graduated from medical school a few weeks before the ceremony.

And in continuation of the theme of celebrity weddings - in which celebrities from all over the world got married.
